How can I fix an AccessDeniedException error when running Cloud Security PowerShell API commands?

Issue

I receive an error "Exception of type 'FiveNine.VirtualFirewall.CommonDataTypes.OperationAccessDeniedException' was thrown." when using the Cloud Security PowerShell API.

Resolution

This can occur if the Windows user running the PowerShell session does not exist in 5nine Cloud Security. Within the Cloud Security console go to Settings > User Management, and add the Windows user attempting to run the PowerShell commands.
