How do I configure high availability for 5nine Cloud Security?

Issue

I want to configure high availability (HA) for 5nine Cloud Security. How do I do that?

Resolution

If you are using failover clustering, follow these steps to configure HA for the 5nine Cloud Security Management Service:

  1. Ensure that the failover pair servers meet 5nine Cloud Security Management Service system requirements (refer to knowledge base article-

What are the prerequisites for 5nine Cloud Security installation?)

  2.  Install the 5nine Cloud Security Management Service individually onto each server in the failover pair while pointing to the same data source (SQL server). Please stop 5nine.VirtualFirewall.ManagementService on the first server before proceeding to install the management service on the second server.

  3. Configure 5nine Cloud Security Management Service HA in the standard way using the Generic Service in the failover clustering section.

Note:  Once HA has been configured, you will have to use your cluster role IP/FQDN instead of the standalone IP/FQDN whenever you connect to the 5nine Cloud Security Management Service.
